Craven County Has No 72-Hour Release List

It reports current housed inmates, omits juveniles and federal inmates, and is updated “as often as possible.” It does not promise that a record remains visible after release.

Fields differ by system, and public-record exceptions may require redaction. Juvenile, investigative, medical, victim, security, sealed, and other protected material is not made public merely because a release inquiry covers three days.
Why Craven Active Bookings Cannot Supply the 72-Hour Record

Its columns include Facility, Booking ORI, Booking Number, last and first name, age, address, Booking Date, Bond Total, statute, statute description, and Booking Bond Court Date & Time. The page header includes Last Update and Current Count. It does not display a photograph, release date, release status, release reason, destination, profile page, or archived booking.
The official table shown below illustrates why comparing it on different days cannot produce a verified list. A row can disappear, but the interface does not reveal the movement that caused the change.
Save the live timestamp when using the table as a baseline. Do not subtract one Current Count from another or compare screenshots to estimate releases; new bookings and multiple types of movement make that arithmetic unreliable.
Classify Craven County Release Events Across the Window
The movement label determines the follow-up. A bond or pretrial release ends local custody subject to court conditions while the case remains open. A dismissal, time-served judgment, or court-ordered release provides legal authority, but unrelated holds may delay or prevent community departure. Pair the order with the jail's actual release time.

Retry the full name, known aliases, date of birth, booking number, and agency identifiers before drawing a conclusion. Remember that the Craven table expressly excludes juveniles and federal inmates, while NCDAC omits county-only detention and NC SAVAN depends on source reporting. A person can also have left the detention center before the selected window or entered a custodian whose records are searched elsewhere.
For an unresolved no-result, search the Craven court case, contact the jail, and make a narrow release-sheet request. If the case indicates a state commitment, look for an NCDAC admission rather than a community release. Multiple independent no-results still do not establish an actual release time, legal reason, or destination. The positive movement record is the necessary proof.

The selection includes Craven, Release County Not Reported, and Released To Other State(s).
It does not expose a rolling 72-hour Craven jail window. Its “release county” value must not be relabeled as the county of conviction, former jail, or prison location without evidence.
